I love this reviewing thing… I get paid millions of dollars and manufacturers give me the equipment for free so I can have a superb system in every room. I admit it’s a bit hard on my marriage because of all the beautiful women who throw themselves at me, admiring my fancy cars and houses and the gorgeous music emanating from the cabana beside the Olympic sized swimming pool, for it, too has a wonderful system. My wife doesn’t mind because of the diamonds and emeralds and rubies those manufacturers bring to appease her. They know a reviewer’s life can be trying and difficult for a wife, even if one’s wife looks like Jessica Alba.
It’s tough, but someone has to do it!

Preview of a new gem...
 Its name is PTS-03 and it is the latest Nightingale battery operated tube preamplifier.
The PTS-03 features 2 batteries for each channel. One of them, a lithium-ions non-rechargeable battery, feeds the pre-amplifying section, and has a life span of about 6-8 years, when the preamplifier is used an average of 2 hours daily.
The second one is a rechargeable lead battery, with a duration of approximately 6-8 hours. The lead battery gets automatically charged any time the preamplifier is set on OFF or Stand-by; the charge gets disconnected when the preamplifier is ON, thus allowing a total independence of the pre-amplifying unit from the net. Nevertheless, a rear button allows to charge the PTS-03 under any condition, even when ON, for 4 hours. Rome Audio Show was a splendid occasion to meet friends old and new.
As in past editions, we had a chance to showcase our amplifiers, line conditioners and loudspeakers; we listened to some good music directly from the source and had the pleasure to share it with dealers and reviewers. Last but not least, we got exposed to the best in new audio technologies, a thought provoking experience that enriched us with new ideas for the future.
Once again, our audience confirmed its appreciation towards Nightingale’s products.
We love when an audiophile smiles, and in Rome we had many smiling faces around us!
